UCSF’s Innovation Ventures named Howard Edelman as its first Entrepreneur-in-Residence. The Innovation Ventures program is designed to help early companies seeded at UCSF successfully spin out of the University with experienced management in place.

Howard Edelman is PRG’s (Product Realization Group) Medical Practice Lead, and a seasoned entrepreneur and investor in the medical device field. Originally a biomedical engineer, Howard has worked for, started, grown, and sold multiple medical device companies inlcuding Cothera, VitalWear, GameReady, Zeiss, BioRad, CooperVision, and J&J.

Howard has experience in all stages of medical product development and operations and is currently CEO at Advanced Resin Therapeutics.
He also chairs the Medical Device/Digital Health screening committee of Life Science Angels.
